Sagar Pur begs the highest population of Bishnupriya Manipuri living in Delhi

The Sagarpur area in Delhi is one area where the concentration of Bishnupriya Manipuri shows the highest population from all places in the capital of India. The Bishnupriya Manipuris living in Delhi are sprinkled all around the metro city from the posh area of South Extension, CR Park to the less developed areas like Najafgarh.

The population of Bishnupriya Manipuri people living in Delhi could be believed the highest among all metros in India, keeping apart the areas in Assam and Tripura. The influx of such a large population of the Bishnupriya Manipuri people is a proof of the meteoric rise of India Inc. and the prospect of job opportunity that the city provides to them.

What are the reasons that the Sagarpur got the highest number of Bishnupriya Manipuri living in Delhi? 

(1) Friends-bring- friends: This is one reason that worked as catalyst making the area as mini-Bishnupriya Manipuri town. Most of the residents are young boys in early twenties who have brought their friends and relatives.

(2) Rs 1700~Rs 2000 Rent: The room rent in the area swing between Rs 1500~ Rs 2000, in USD 31.6 U.S. dollars to 42.11400 U.S. dollars. The rooms are shared by two to three people. More than three people sharing a room are not allowed.

(3) Connectivity: Is one more factor that has made this area the highest concentration of Bishnupriya Manipuri people. It is near to the call centre hub Gurgaon and other business areas of Delhi. Most of the boys work in call centre and in retail. 

Other areas in Delhi where Bishnupriya Manipuri people are sprinkled include: Dwarka, Madangiri, Munirka Village, Palam, Khanpur, Lakshmi Nagar, Mahipalpur, Dakshinpuri, Manglapuri, Inder Puri, Malviya Nagar, Mehrauli, Patparganj, Khanpur.
