ASSAM GOVERNMENT AWARDED SAHITYA PENSIONER

15 Aug. 2013 Deepak Singha: Sri Kalasena Singha, Dullavchera, District Karimganj, a prominent literarian of Bishnupriya Manipuri Society has been awarded as Sahitya Pensioner by Assam Govt. on the eve of Independence Day. He is a social activist and active member of Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasabha (NBMM). At present, he is the advisor of Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sahitya Parisad.   He has wrote so many kabyas, nataks viz., Manjuri, Achin Pahiya, Baroya, Adalat, Erai Raja Sani Mantri, Gokul Kirtani etc.

ABIRBHAV TITHI MAHAUTSAV OF SRI SRI BHUBANESWAR SADHU THAKUR OBSERVED IN MANIPUR

22 Dec. 2012 Deepak Singha: The 143rd Abirbhav Tithi of Sri Sri Bhubaneswar Sadhu Thakur was solicited at Ningthoukhong in Manipur. This is the first time the Tithi of Sri Sri Bhubaneswar Sadhu Thakur was celebrated in the heart soul of Manipur. The celebration was observed on 11th December 2012 with rasakirtan headed by P. Krishna Kumar Singha. A meeting was held under presidentship of Kh. Nabakumar Singha, Ningthoukhong. Notable speakers included state president of Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasabha Kh. Nabakumar Singha and centra vice president P. Rakeswar Singha. The meeting was addressed by Sri A.S Gautham President of BMSS and Mrs. Sefali Singha Chairperson of Mingal Mahila Mancha. The meeting attended by Sri Th. Tompak Singha and Sri Rabindra Singha. The young member of BMDC Sri Mrinal Kanti Singha inaugurated the meeting with song of Sadhu Thakur in Bishnupriya language.

Celebration of 142nd Janma Baisakhi Of Sri Sri Bhubaneswar Sadhu Thakur At Diphu, Karbi Anglong

By  Deepak Singh 142nd Abhirbav Tithi of Sri Sri Bhubaneswar Sadhu Thakur observed at Radha Krishna Sevashram, Krishna Nagar, Diphu with two days programme held on 27th and 28th Oct. 2011 with full of devotion, gaiety in presence of lots of enthusiastic people from Diphu, Bokajan and other adjoining areas. Sri Sri Bhubaneswar Sadhu Thakur celebration at Diphu, Karbi Anglong Programme was started on 27th October morning with Gobardhan Puja. Art competition was held in the memory of Lt. Kamini Devi, organised and donated by Smt. Sabita Sinha, Teacher Kendriya Vidhyalaya, Diphu at 4:00 pm Ghota Sthapan was held, 6 pm in the evening Sabdhya Arati started at 7:00 pm followed by Geeta Path which was performed by Sri Binoy Krishna Sharma of Luarpua, Karimganj. Diphu Bishnupriya Manipuri observed Geetiswami birth anniversary

NEWS Deepak Singha, Diphu The 113th birth anniversary of Geetiswami Gokulananda was organized by Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sanskriti Parisad Diphu Branch at Radha Krishna Sevashram Diphu. A.S Gautam V.P of Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasaba inaugurated the programme. A.S Gautam, Chief Guest of the function said Geetiswami Gokulananda was the pioneer of the Bishnupriya Manipuri society. The day was also marked with a meeting held under the chairmanship of Aswini Kr. Singha, President Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sanskriti Parisad Diphu. Speaking on the occasion, Ananta Kr. Singha, Ramananda Singha and social activist Putul Singha said Geetiswami Gokulananda was not only a reformist but also a revolutionist who by his composition educated the masses and modernized the Bishnupriya Manipuri community. Mahasabha forms branch committee in Chaprabari under Udalguri

NEWS Deepak Singha, Diphu, Assam In Chaprabari, a Bishnupriya Manipuri village near Majbat under Udalguri district in BTC, the Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasabha formed a branch committee on November 22. The meeting took place under the guidance of Anil Singha Gautam, Vice President of the Mahasabha central committee. Simu Singha, Vice President of Assam state Sahitya Parisad appreciated the people of Chaprabari village for maintaining their cultural and linguistic identity despite a wide gap of communication with the mainstream Bishnupriya Manipuri community. Mahasabha forms Jiri Ancholic Committee

NEWS Deepak Singha, Diphu, Assam In a meeting held at Goukhal Mandop, Jiribam, Manipur on November 15, the Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasabha (NBMM) formed a 21-member Jiri Ancholic Committee. Inaugurating the meeting, Udhay Sinha, Secretary General of Mahasabha gave a detailed history of the formation and functions of the oldest socio-cultural body and said that the Jiri Ancholic Committee would work for the development of culture and preserving the ethnic identity of Manipuri community. Anil Singha Gautam, Vice-President of the Central Committee of Mahasabha, and who played a pivotal role in the formation of the Committee in the Manipur valley stressed upon the need of bonding and sharing cultural relationship between the two sects of the community (Manipuri) by maintaining brotherhood relationship through mutual co-operation and exchanges.
