How many of you know the different type of Lokeis which exist among us. Frankly I know very few. The interesting fact is that for every small Lokeis that exist there is a small story behind it. Let’s all come together and let everyone else know about the Lokeis we belong, at the end of the week we would collate how many Lokeis exist. Socially, I haven't heard of slums of Bishnupriya Manipuri people in any part of the world. Economically, I haven't seen a beggar. Almost all of our villagers are literate, if not highly educated. We are minority in number, that is why we are not widely known. Minority in number has nothing to do with being backward. Social progress is not measured in terms of one's "Arjunness", how great we were, but by economic, political and educational progress in the present. Sadly, we seem to be a race who dwell in the past. This sorry state of affairs is further compounded by our disunity, our inertia to change and our utter lack of courage to question prevailing views. Our society is lagging behind in everything since educationally we are very poor. Most of the people of our communinty are not interested in pursuing highger education. Reasons may be poverty but if we are really interested we can solve every problem. Most of us are from villages/rural areas. If we are properly educated we can solve the problem of poverty; we will become more conscious about politics; with this, social sentiment will automatically grow amongst us.

It was interesting to know from Sushil Kumar Sinha through one of his comment here , how his Grandfathers “Dakula” Band Singha and Maitai Singha, fought with Muslims in the mouth of Dullabcharra bridge “Singla Chara River’ and saved Singla becoming the part of Bangladesh.
