Ranita Sinha and Henryy Sinha: Top Choice of Readers

Today is Imsha Imsha (Wednesday)

By RK Rishikesh Sinha, New Delhi

It was really tough for the writers of this site being in face-to-face with the readers.

Total 17 writers have been contributing on and off in the site what they love to share to the whole world, to their brothers and sisters. Their write-ups are the manifestation of their thoughts. The way they see the world, the way they perceive their surroundings, it is truly amazing.

The site was open to accommodate anything (but should be original) that has come out from the imagination and true account of the writers. It doesn’t matter whether it was closely related or loosely related to the Bishnupriya Manipuri community. Many times the topics went tangential to the subject of the site.

The best thing that came out with this exercise is that each and every writer was well accepted by the readers. Nobody can claim that x, y and z writers don’t have devoted readers. The two-article writers were also well accepted to those writers who have contributed volume of articles.

As someone said about the bishnupriyamanipuri.com, the building blocks, here the writers, in the initial days of the site are true inspiration model to the status it boasts off today. Since it is due to their utmost effort that it inspired other aspiring writers to penned down their insights. Their job is done.

Statistics shows how people from all places of the world, (Guwahati has recently joined, the number of readers have increased) are marauding the content produced by our writers. Their write-ups in no-time become the topic of discussions, thus bringing the people close and much closer to each other. Some agree and some addresses their disagreements. Bottom line is that: Readers do read – views and counterviews come later.

A case in point, recently series of articles were run on a particular issue, releasing of financial dues to the 149 Bishnupriya Manipuri teachers, it disturbed a section of the people in Silchar, the impact of the articles were as such that they allegedly threatened me for perpetuating disturbing ideas, not compatible to their views and concerns. They warned, “If it goes, we may have to think of filing a civil case for propagating such messages”.

So, here lies the responsibility that a writer enjoys. It is truly a responsible job. And the writers here have done it responsively in their writings. For us, the sanctity of the messages, the purity in terms of independence, becomes more important. Because what goes in the site is becoming and will become the first draft of our history. And history has to be jotted down as it is, with independence and unbiasedness.

After all, nobody is being paid for their services that they are rendering to the readers. It is their inner urge through writings that they are bestowing to the community. It is their love to fellow Bishnupriya Manipuri living all across the world they are devoting their time, energy and money. We all deep bottom of our heart cries for the upliftment of the society.

Doing what it was customary to release the performance of the writers here in this article. How readers have rated them in the scale of 1-5, according to their preferences and choice. Here is the list:

    1. This is an encouraging stuff that Rishi came up with, am sure these feedbacks help. I was really happy to be counted considering my vintage here. However, numbers are not always just, so thought of adding a word or two. I went thru couple of archives, still reading and many more to go. But what i feel good about is the fact that i'm among some very learned people and i keep on learning along with them. Here's my take on few whom i recall most.

BN Sinha - He's British in his nature, like his formal writing. Want to see more of him in future.
Ranita Sinha - Very bishnupriya. I repeat, you are definitely instrumental for the growth of this blog.
Henryy Sinha - I learn from him on everything that he writes. An encyclopaedia in himself for sure!
Rebati Mohan Sinha - Met him couple of times in B'lore; Articles aside, i can only ask for a little energy that he possesses. You are an example for all, Rebati Mama.
Sonica Rajkumari - A friend told me that you're a college girl. I wont feel shy to admit that i was not even half as evolved as you are, during my days. You can only get better from here on. Do keep writing.
Tridiv Sinha - Most dormant, has a huge potential. I would like to see more of him.
Jyotirmoy Sinha - The poems were too heavy initially, but highly appreciate that we have someone like you in the club.
Sanju Sinha- Could easily get into sports journalism. SANJU!! are you alive...we want to see more of you.
Surajit Sinha - Good. Would like to see more global in him.
RK Rishikesh Sinha- Do i need to say more for the man himself? A powerhouse! You are a benchmark for me, Rishi!
Pratibha Sinha - Saw the first one in the other site, you did made an impact. I'd waiting for your next releases.
Santosh Kumar Singha- Always Productive. I know him. Has lots to offer. I'm sure he'll spend more time in the coming days. Look forward to them.

I might have missed few. Am still reading...and learning...!
      Do keep writing!!

    3. I like to congratulate Rishikesh for being a popular choice writer and also for getting your site popular among the readers and non-readers that I come across many people of our community at Guwahati. People who are not still familiar with the internet and its use or unable to use this modern IT communication channel due to lack of accessibility of internet provision easily all the time are also expressing their interest to publish their views & opinions through this site. There are many writers and interested people at Guwahati who really appreciate your work, experience in the communicatin field and your excellent effort in creating an excellent and a popular image of BM community and its people through this site.

      Well done. Keep it up.

    4. Hey Rishi.
It's fantastic. It also got a tear or two in my eyes. At times, I have this fear that I may sound or read a bit too blunt for one or many. However having seen the poll results the act of risking myself as someone insensitive for the sake of truth, has been understood and accepted by our people. This is a great indication.
This is just the beginning. I would be happiest that day, when someone from Dullobchora or Patherkandi or Dutpaatil or Massughat or Kamalpur or Kailashohor tops the list here. Congrats to all.

He was born to a Xatriya Manipuri family. His father Sri Sanatan Pandit was a Sanskrit teacher and mother Srimati Malati Devi, a house wife. Sadhu Baba from his childhood was indifferent to all worldly happenings. He was engrossed in chanting the name of Lord Krishna. Along with other students of his age, Sadhu Baba started taking lessons of grammar and other spiritual literature from his father. At a very young age he lost his mother but he was brought up with utmost love and care by his step mother. At the age of eighteen, Sadhu baba lost his father, so, to continue his spiritual education under the guidance of Rajpandit Mineshwas Swarbabhwam Bhattacherjee, he went to Tripura. Assam Search Engine: Bisarok

Exclusive search engine on Assam Manash Pratim Gohain, TNN Jun 16, 2012, 01.46PM IST NEW DELHI: Assam got its own search engine ' Bisarok '. The search engine has been launched to get results exclusively on queries and information related to Assam. 'Bisarok', means 'to search' in Assamese language, has been launched and has been linked to various websites of the Government of Assam and departments, educational institutions and media. The search engine is likely to give a new online experience related to searches on Assam. Built on Google custom search engine, the search engine would be collating and building a database of web properties exclusively of the state in the North East region. 'Bisarok' has been developed by RK Rishikesh Sinha, who had earlier created a similar custom search engine ('Bisarei') on Bishnupriya Manipuri. According to Sinha, apart from Google there was no link to get results particularly on Assam. Any web entity related

A short history of the Bishnupriya Manipuri and their religio-cultural consciousness

Undoubtedly, the accurate period of the emergence or the development of religious consciousness of the Bishnupriya Manipuri is difficult to ascertain, but it is an old one that is undoubted, writes Rini Sinha , Guwahati .
