Newly elected Mahasabha Executive Members given oath on May 24 at Silchar

The combined oath taking ceremony of the newly elected executive members of the Mahasabha, and its Sahitya and Sanskriti Parishad, took place in the holy name of Radha Madhavjiu on May 24, 2009 at the Community Hall, Srila Bhubeneswar Sadhutakur Sevashram, Tarapur, Silchar, Assam.

The ceremony was performed by Sri Prangopal Mukherjee, the Gaddishwar of Ghaghrapar. He administered the oath of allegiance to Dr Debendra Kumar Sinha, the elected President of the Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasabha (NBMM). The President in turn administered the oath of confidence to all other executive committee members and the office-bearers of Sahitya and Sanskriti Parishad.

The search engine has been launched to get results exclusively on queries and information related to Assam. 'Bisarok', means 'to search' in Assamese language, has been launched and has been linked to various websites of the Government of Assam and departments, educational institutions and media.
