The film Paritraan gets released

The District Library at Silchar was glittering with full of activities on October 1, 2009. It wore a different “Bishnupriya Manipuri” feel as compared to other days in this very important institution of the town.

People from far-and-wide places from the State assembled to witness the release of the much-awaited Bishnupriya Manipuri film “Paritraan” under the banner of L L Production. Dr Debendra Kr Sinha, President, Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasabha, released the film.

The film is directed by Hiren Sinha. The Storyline and Dialogue is written by Prabhas Kanti Sinha. Lyricists are Pt. Motilal Sinha, Prabhas Kanti Sinha and Hiren Sinha and Kuldip Bora is the Technical Director of the film.

Promila Sinha, the Producer of the movie; the lead actors - Vishal Sinha, Pinki Sinha, Ashotosh Sinha, Samarendra Sinha, Kabita Sinha, Mono Sinha; Playback singers Tushar Sinha, Bithi Sinha and Promila Sinha and all other members of the team were present on this auspicious occasion. All were high-spirited to see their work being appreciated and welcomed by hundreds of people including media-persons, and movie-enthusiastic from every nook and corner of the place. Meanwhile, full of the movie was also shown on the occasion.

In the beginning of the programme Promila Sinha, Producer felicitated all the actors with momentos wishing them best wishes for their future.

Dignitaries who graced the event with their presence were Pandit Motilal Sinha, renowned Classical Vocalist of Barak Valley, Prof. Monoranjan Sinha, Ex-President, Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasabha and Shri Gopinath Sinha, President of Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sahitya Parishad.

The story of the movie revolves around the life of the people living in the villages. It highlights the consequent social degradation due to unemployment and anti-social activities. At the same time, the film also shows how the youths of the villages stand together against the evils of the society and bring reforms.

The shooting of the movie took place in villages- Chenkuri and Srikuna of Silchar. One song is picturised in Jyoti Chitraban at Guwahati. The movie has five songs in total.

    1. At around 5 o clock in the evening of 1st oct.2009 I sent a congratulatory message to Shri Prabhash Kanti Sinha on behalf of the B.M. of Pune-Mumbai and at the
      same time wished for the success of the film.
      The next morning,I got the feedback
      from the various quarters that the film would definitely touch the hearts of the masses.Once more, I would like to congratulate my dear Punu(Promila).We are looking forward to have the picture released in our metro cities: Delhi
      Mumbai,Kolkata,Pune and Bangalore.
