Bishnupriya Manipuri celebrates birth anniversary of Geetiswami Gokulananda in Guwahati on Nov 29

Geetiswami Gokulananda Janma Jayanti Udjapon Committee of Guwahati, Assam, is going to celebrate 113th birth anniversary (Janma Jayanti) of Geetiswami Gokulananda on November 29, 2009 (Sunday) at Shilpagram Auditorium (near Kalakhetra), Panjabari.

Like every year, the Committee will be observing the day commemorating the life and contribution of Geetiswami Gokulananda for social reform. On the occasion cultural programme will be presented by artists from different areas of the city. The programme will start at 10:00 hrs and conclude at 18:00 hrs.

The Geetiswami Gokulananda Janma Jayanti Udjapon committee, Guwahati invites all Bishnupriya Manipuri masses from every corner of the country to make the celebration a grand success by attending the programme.

Sushil kumar Sinha, President; Col. Bijoy Sinha, Working President; Dils Lakshmindra Sinha, General Secretary; Asutosh Sinha(Ravi), General Secretary and other committee members jointly appeals to the Bishnupriya Manipuri people residing in other parts of the country to celebrate the 113th birth anniversary  (Janma Jayanti) to pay homage to the great social reformer in his remembrance. He was born on November 26, 1896.
