L.L Production releases music albums and books

A day before the Sri Sri Jagannath’s Ratha Yatra festival on July 12, 2010, L.L Production released a devotional video ‘Dasho Avatar’, a Bishnupriya Manipuri western music album ‘Gomnei’, a collection of poems ‘Hridir Bina’, and a three act play ‘Gaj Tal’.


The songs in the ‘Dasho Avatar’ DVD are in the voice of Tushar Arjun and Prabhas Kanti Sinha. It contains original composition of Bhakta Kavi Jayadeva’s “Praloy Payodhi Jole” and “Shrito Kamal” along with six other composed “jaidev” songs in Bishnupriya Manipuri by Prabhas Kanti Sinha and Hirendra Sinha. Pramila Sinha(Punu) is the Producer of the album, directed by Hirendra Sinha and Project concept by Prabhas Kanti Sinha. Instruments played by Gopinath Sinha (Mridango) and Chandan Saikia (Flute). Other artists in the album are Ravi Sinha, Bibhul Sinha, Sarojini Sinha and Sudevi Sinha. The shooting of the DVD took place at the Malthep of Dakhingaon, Guwahati.


The Bishnupriya Manipuri western music album ‘Gomnei’ is produced by (the first Bishnupriya Manipuri) Rock Band JAM STATION. Dr. Debendra Kr. Sinha, President, Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasabha, released the audio album. All lyrics and music is composed by Vishal Sinha and Sudarshan Sinha (except one song by Henry Sinha (Track-3) and one by Bryan Adams (Track-7)). Vishal Sinha is the lead singer in the album. In the instruments, Vishal and Sudarshan played the guitars, Jaan in the bass guitar and Tapan in the drums.





“Hridir Bina” – a collection of poems in Bishnupriya Manipuri language -- is written by Pratap Sinha, Superintendent of Police, Hamren, Karbi Anglong, Assam. Jogendra Kumar Sinha, President, Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Sanskriti Parishad, released the book.






Gaj Tal” – a three act play in Bishnupriya Manipuri written by Dramatist Shyam Sunder Sinha of Gorarband and President of Radha Madhav Seva Puja Parichalan Samiti was released by Chandrakanta Sinha, Working President of Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahasabha.

The event was organised at the Community Hall of Shri Shri Bhubaneswar Sadhu Thakur Sevashram, Silchar.

    and plesase upload Bishnupriya manipuri mp3 songs for easily access to
    manipuri songs by our community.

Bishnupriya Manipuri Development Council: Few Pertinent Questions (Part I)

By Rebati Mohan Sinha On last 25th March 2010 there was an announcement in the floor of the House that the Government of Assam has agreed on principle to form three separate Social Economic Development Councils for Bishnupriya Manipuri, Nath Yugi and Maimal. And now the Cabinet Committee has given its nod. It will be placed in the House (not yet placed) and once it is passed, then a Ministerial Committee would consult the stake holders i.e. these three communities, regarding their aspirations and would send its recommendation accordingly to the Central Government for further action within the next two months.
