New Definition of Communication: Google Wave

Email is loosing its sheen in the plethora of latest communication and collaborative tools that are relentlessly added in the World Wide Web to simplify our communication needs.

One such tool which has the potential of making electronic communication (Email) obsolete and a thing-of-the-past is the latest tool from the kitty of Google -- Google Wave (it was launched on May 18, 2010 for the public).

If you have not given a try yet on Google Wave, I suggest – explore the tool, now! I have been using this tool since two months when its usage was given with a request. It is remarkable! It is a completely next generation new communication and collaborative tool.

However it is still in Google Lab, so at any given time it can be dropped or added to the list of Google products.

You have entered into a private yet public conversation – controlled and managed by the creator. 

Google Wave comes with host of extensions to meet our imagined communication needs. Three things which I appreciate about Google Wave in comparison with Gmail 1) Filters and Labels has become redundant; 2) Any thread of communication (call it Wave) can be made public, and collaborative -- that was not possible in Gmail; 3) It has made Google Docs obsolete for collaboration.

Shady part of Google Wave. Like other web services –Twitter, Google Buzz, Facebook, etc….— you have to master it to bring to its true potential.

    Yeah, it's a great tool. I tried it other day. It has a new format with added power, though the applications are more or less same.

Bishnupriya Manipuri Development Council: Few Pertinent Questions (Part I)

By Rebati Mohan Sinha On last 25th March 2010 there was an announcement in the floor of the House that the Government of Assam has agreed on principle to form three separate Social Economic Development Councils for Bishnupriya Manipuri, Nath Yugi and Maimal. And now the Cabinet Committee has given its nod. It will be placed in the House (not yet placed) and once it is passed, then a Ministerial Committee would consult the stake holders i.e. these three communities, regarding their aspirations and would send its recommendation accordingly to the Central Government for further action within the next two months.
