Madhu Sinha, son of late Mohini Kumar Sinha and Jini Sinha of village Bhagatpur, Silchar, has the distinction of being promoted to the prestigious Indian Forest Service (IFS) vide Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India, notification No. 17013/22/2008 - IFS II dated 25/8/2010.
Madhu Sinha joined Assam Forest Service in 1981. After completion of the training he was posted to Jorhat as Asstt. Conservator of Forest in 1984. Then he came to home town Silchar for Range training in 1987. He worked in three districts Cachar, Hailakandi and Karimganj of Barak valley at different capacity as DY. Conservator and DFO till he was nominated to IFS- II. on 26 th August 2010.
