Masughat L.P. School organises its Centenary Celebration


61 No. Masughat L.P. School had organised a grand function to celebrate centenary years of its being on December 27, 2009 in the premises of the school at Masughat in Silchar under Cachar district.

On this auspicious occasion, many guests were invited. Huge audience was present in the function. During the function, various programmes were organised to commemorate the hundred glorious years of Masughat L.P. School.

The day-long function was started at morning 8.30 a.m. with National Flag Hoisting programme and Opening Song programme. Soon after the opening song, distinguished guests were invited to light up the lamp. The president gave the Welcome speech. It was followed by the felicitation of Ex-students for their Excellency. Cultural programme was also held during the function. At night 10.30 p.m. the function was ended with a programme 'cultural nite'.

The Chief Guest of the programme was Dinesh Prasad Goala, Minister of Urban Development & Housing, Government Of Assam. Patherkandi M.L.A Kartik Sena Sinha was the Guest of Honour and Kumkum Sinha, the Deputy Director of  Elementary Education, Assam was invited as the Special Guest. Dr. Rumi Nath, M.L.A. Barkhola, Cachar, Mishbahul Islam Laskar, Ex-Minister, Assam, Dr. Debendra Kr. Sinha, President, MBMM, Moni Kanta Sinha, General Secretary, Bishnupriya Manipuri Sahitya Sabha, Raj Kumar Anil Krishna Sinha, President, N.B.M.S.U., Sri Subal Sinha, Chairman, B.M.G.S.P., Gautam Ganguly, D.C. Cachar, Silchar, Rabin Langtasha, B.D.O. Barkhola Dev. Block, Mr. Abdul Wahid, B.E.E.O. Udarbond, Cachar were among other invited guests.
