Bishnupriya Manipuri language needs rigorous, divergent scientific study to improve our understanding towards it. As a matter of fact, to this little-known language, a computional study which is a first-of-its-kind scientific approach thus exploring the language has been made in a paper pubished by Nayan Jyoti Kalita, Navanath Saharia, and Smriti Kumar Sinha, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Tezpur University. The paper titled ‘Towards the development of a Bishnupriya Manipuri Corpus’, the team has developed a ‘corpus’ of approximately 1 lakh Bishnupriya Manipuri words and 10, 196 sentences.
