Bishnupriya Manipuri language needs rigorous, divergent scientific study to improve our understanding towards it. As a matter of fact, to this little-known language, a computional study which is a first-of-its-kind scientific approach thus exploring the language has been made in a paper pubished by Nayan Jyoti Kalita, Navanath Saharia, and Smriti Kumar Sinha, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Tezpur University. The paper titled ‘Towards the development of a Bishnupriya Manipuri Corpus’, the team has developed a ‘corpus’ of approximately 1 lakh Bishnupriya Manipuri words and 10, 196 sentences. The Bishnupriya Manipuri video album ‘Deina’ was recently released by CK Production. With seven sweet songs sung by Sandhya Sinha, lyrics and tune by Chandrakanta Sinha, the album is one more addition to the Bishnupriya Manipuri music. Bipul Sinha and Bimal Bora have choreographed the artists - Druba, Rubi, Bindu, Prince Pranjal, Amrita, Chandrika, Ila, Nabanita, Dipika, and Sukrim Sinha - in the album. An organization named “Socio Cultural Society of Bishnupriya Manipuri” has been formed by the population of Bishnupriya Manipuri community residing in Agartala Municipality Area. The society is duly registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The society with Gopi Sinha as President, Maj. Prafulla Kr.
