Celebration of 114th Geetiswami Gokulananda Birth Anniversary on 21 Nov 10 at Guwahati

Geetiswami Gokulananda Janma Jayanti Udjapan Committee of Guwahati, Assam, is going to celebrate the 114th Birth Anniversary (Janma Jayanti) of Geetiswami Gokulananda, the noted poet, playwright and social reformer of the Bishnupriya Manipuri Community on 21st November, 2010 (Sunday) at Shilpagram Auditorium (near Kalakhetra), Panjabari, Guwahati.

Like every year, the Committee will be observing the day commemorating the life and contribution of Geetiswami Gokulananda for the upliftment of the community. On the occasion, the “Geetiswami Award” for the year 2010 will be conferred to Shri Jogendra Kr. Sinha, the noted educationist and social activist of the Bishnupriya Manipuri Community. Meritorious students will also be felicitated on the occasion. Cultural programme will be presented by artists from different areas of the city. The programme will start at 10:00 hrs and conclude at 19:30 hrs.

Bijoy Sinha, Working President, Asutosh Sinha(Ravi), General Secretary and other members of the Geetiswami Gokulananda Janma Jayanti Udjapon committee, Guwahati invites all Bishnupriya Manipuri masses from every corner of the country to make the celebration a grand success by attending the programme.
