Every year on January 26, we celebrate the Republic Day. On this day, India became a Democratic Republic in 1950. Therefore, this is celebrated as the Republic Day. A special parade is held at Vijay Chowk in New Delhi. The President of India takes the salute of the Republic Day parade from the armed forces. Foreign dignitaries also come to see the special parade.
Tanks, missiles, many other military weapons of war and fighter jets are displayed in the big parade. Military band, police and children from various schools participate in the parade. A picturesque presentation is shown from all the states. They display the dresses and customs of the people of their own states. Folk dances and songs of different states of India are performed. Colourful balloons are also seen floating in the air.
On this special day, brave children are honoured and awarded. Being citizens of India, we feel proud of the Republic Day celebrations.
Happy Rebuplic Day Ritwick.
ReplyDeleteYour rolling tanks and fluttering National flags; colourful flowers and saluting people and the write-up has really rekindle the national fervour in me.
Unfortunately, we are gradually forgetting the importance of our national festivals and the real essence of Indianness.
I am thankful to your parents who encourages you and at the same time help us to remember the innocent child within us with no narrow barriers of ego.
Dear Pranati Saikia, thanx for ur comment for and on behalf of Ritwick Sinha.
